About Creative Coaching

Who’s behind all this creative coaching hullabaloo? Why, that would be me – Ash Martin.

That’s me. Over there. To the right. That picture’s professional, right? I look very competent.

I’ll be honest. I don’t care. And really, that’s part of the point. My coaching style (and life philosophy) is all about embracing creativity and authenticity. That means I tend to stray from the beaten path.

And as far as I’m concerned, that’s great news for you.

How I coach.

When you enter into a coaching agreement with me, you don’t have to worry about looking or sounding corporate. Not when we talk, at least. If that’s something you want to work on for your 9-to-5, we can do that. But in our conversations, be yourself.

If you’re angry, tell me. Confused? I want to hear about it. Scared, excited, proud, suspicious, unsure or hesitant – it’s all okay.

You don’t have to hold back with me, and I won’t hold back with you. Our conversations will absolutely reek of authenticity. (It smells like bacon. You’ll love it.)

A little about my passions.

In addition to working as a creative coach, I’m also a writer. I’ve done years of freelance work, and currently partner with a marketing agency. I also write both nonfiction and fiction – typically horror or dark fantasy. You’re welcome to check it out here if you like.

While coaching doesn’t require the coach to have personal experience with the subject matter, you may find it reassuring to know that I’m familiar with the challenges of working as a creative professional. My experiences certainly won’t mirror yours. I won’t expect you to handle things they way I have and do.

But I get where you’re coming from.

Other random stuff.

In addition to writing, I’m an avid reader. I bounce around all over the spectrum genre-wise. If you dig on good books, we can exchange recommendations.

I’m also a gamer and a proud, self-proclaimed geek. During downtime, I’m as likely to be dealing with the digital zombie apocalypse as reading something to better myself and my coaching practice.

Oh, and I have cats. So, yeah. I’m that kind of crazy.

Let’s do this thing.

What now?

If you’d like more information about coaching, just fill out the form to the left. I’ll reply as quick as I can and, schedules permitting, we can see about setting up an initial session.

I’m available via phone or video chat. If you’re local to DFW, we might even be able to meet for coffee.

The ball’s in your court, friend.
